Lausanne born Cédric Pescia studied with Christian Favre (Lausanne), Dominique Merlet (Geneva) and Klaus Hellwig (Berlin) and at the International Piano Academy at Lake Como. In 2002, he won the Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition. Pescia performed throughout Europe, and in South and North America. Recitals brought him to De Single Antwerp, Tonhalle Zurich, Prague Spring, Mozarteum Salzburg, Cité de la musique Paris, Konzerthaus Vienna, Philharmonie Berlin, Istanbul, Menuhin Festival Gstaad, Frick Collection New York etc. As a soloist, he performed with renowned orchestras and conductors. He recorded a large number of CDs, among them Bach’s Goldberg Variations and The Art of the Fugue, music by Schumann, Beethoven Sonatas, Cage, Messiaen and Schubert, which have been highly acclaimed by the international press. Pescia is a professor for piano at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève.
