Translated by Frank Wynne and published by Fitzcarraldo editions, The Son of Man is a masterful story of domestic violence and generational trauma told against the haunting backdrop of a lone house in the mountains.
Del Amo has been critically acclaimed in France and the UK, winning the Goncourt First Novel Prize, but also the Times Literary Supplement Book of the Year in 2019, and the 2020 Republic of Consciousness Prize.
