Shot against the stunning backdrop of Mallorca, El hombre bueno (The Good Man) is a quiet film about a couple seeking the advice and mediation of what they consider “a good man” in their separation process. This “good man” is an old friend who, after being widowed, chose to retreat from the world to a quiet corner of the Spanish Mediterranean. Apparently simple, the film is imbued with thought-provoking dialogue and emotion, just as David Trueba so often delivers.
