DELF Tout public
The DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) is the only official French language proficiency qualification, evaluating listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.
The diploma you receive is awarded by the French Ministry of Education. It is valid for life and also recognised worldwide.

DALF Tout public
DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) is the only official French language proficiency qualifications, evaluating listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.
The diploma you receive is awarded by the French Ministry of Education.
- For whom: Foreign students wanting to certify French language proficiency
- Location: at the Institut français / in the UK
- Levels: From C1 to C2
DELF Prim
The Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF) Prim for children, certifies the competency of candidates evaluating listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. The diploma you receive is awarded by the French Ministry of Education.
- For whom: Children aged 7 – 11 years old
- Location: at the Institut français / in the UK
- Levels: A1.1, A1 and A2
DELF Junior
The Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF) Junior for teenagers, certifies the competency of candidates evaluating listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. The diploma you receive is awarded by the French Ministry of Education. The DELF Junior is the official gateway to admission into French universities, and features on the UCAS online application form. More and more British universities are taking interest in DELF/DALF examinations.

- Levels: From A1 to B2
TCF Tout public
Take the TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) if you want to apply to French universities, or submit an immigration application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or through the Quebec Immigration Office, or if you want your French language skills to be assessed to apply for French nationality.
- For whom: Anyone aged 16 years old or older

TCF Canada
The TCF Canada is intended for anyone regardless of nationality or mother tongue, who needs to certify their level of French in order to emigrate to all of the provinces of Canada except Quebec.

TCF Québec
The TCF Quebec is intended for anyone regardless of nationality or mother tongue, who needs to certify their level of French in order to emigrate to Quebec.

TCF French Nationality (IRN)
The TCF French nationality or Integration, Residence and Nationality (IRN) is intended for all foreigners wishing to validate their level of French for an application for French nationality or a long-term resident’s card.

DAEFLE
The DAEFLE (Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement du FLE) is a diploma certifying competence in teaching French to non-French speakers, co-organised by the Alliance française Paris Ile-de-France and the CNED (French national centre for distance learning).
- For whom: For future teachers of French as a foreign language
