Education & Culture Networks in the UK
As part of a UK-wide French network including the Institut français d’Ecosse, la Maison Française d’Oxford and 11 Alliances Françaises, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni develops Franco-British educational and cultural projects throughout the country.
It also coordinates a network of 11 French schools which are accredited by the French Ministry of Education and 62 FLAM schools.
Alliances Françaises in the UK
The Institut français du Royaume-Uni is part of Discover South Kensington which brings together the leading cultural and educational organisations in London’s South Kensington, one of the world’s most popular cultural destinations.
The Institut is also part of Francophonie UK, bringing together several embassies and institutes promoting French language in the UK, and of EUNIC London (European Union National Institutes for Culture), the network of the cultural institutes and embassies from the member states of the European Union in London.

The Institut Français in the World
The Institut français in Paris is the public institution in charge of developing France’s cultural action abroad, under the supervision of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture. It helps to promote the French language, the circulation of works and ideas and the mobility of artists throughout the world.
