Alain Chauvel started his career as a business manager in a large American company. After 17 years, he decided to go back to school and studied the art of being a piano technician. He studied at ITEMM (Institut Technologique Européen des Métiers de la Musique) and started his second career at the age of 40. His passion for pianos and sound quality made him become one of the most established piano tuners and technicians in France. He has worked with Anne Queffélec, Barry Douglas, Nelson Goerner, Hélène Grimaud, Boris Berezovsky, Francesco Tristano, Alexandre Tharaud and many others.
