Happy Birthday Ms Deneuve

This flamboyant drama, winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film, is set in French controlled Indochina in the 1930s. Eliane Devries (Catherine Deneuve) runs a vast plantation with her father and Camille, an orphan Annamite princess she has adopted. When young officer Jean-Baptiste comes into their lives, Eliane and Camille both fall in love with him.
