Les Biches is a psychological thriller exploring desire, manipulation and obsession. A wealthy, bisexual woman, Frédérique (Stéphane Audran), picks up a young, homeless female artist named Why (Jacqueline Sassard) on the Pont des Arts in Paris and takes her to her villa in Saint-Tropez. The two women live there together in an open, intense relationship until architect Paul Thomas (Jean-Louis Trintignant) enters the scene. A tortured love triangle sets in, with the dynamic between Frédérique and Why shifting from attraction to jealousy and deceit. Set against a glamorous backdrop, the story evolves into a dark exploration of power, betrayal and emotional entrapment all the way to the chilling finale.
