The Boy and the Heron
From Sat 10 to Sun 25 FebTen years after his last feature, the maestro of Japanese anime and Oscar winner Hayao Miyazaki returns for yet another vibrant and imaginative tour de force. This semi-autobiographical film finds 12-year-old Mahito having to move to the countryside with his father where fitting in proves difficult. When he crosses path with a local heron who has the ability to speak, he embarks on a fantastic journey through grief, life, friendship and creation.
