While he did not seem to care about power, the young king suddenly revealed an understanding of state affairs and developed a precise political programme which in a few years would make him the “Sun King”. A masterful illustration of the educational ambition that Rossellini had with regards to television, and a model reconstruction in terms of historical accuracy.
