Founded in 2010, the Diaphonique fund supports collaborative projects between France, the United Kingdom, and Ireland in the field of contemporary classical music. Since its inception, it has financed over 120 commissions, concerts, tours, residencies, and educational projects. Its mission is to strengthen artistic ties between France, the UK, and Ireland by fostering innovative and ambitious musical collaborations.
This programme is open to ensembles, institutions, and creators wishing to develop original projects between the three countries. It aims to encourage contemporary creation, the dissemination of repertoire, and the establishment of long-term partnerships in classical and contemporary music.
Applications will be open from Friday 14 March 2025 to Thursday 15 May 2025, with the announcement of the ten selected projects in July.
Diaphonique supports a variety of projects, including commissions for emerging composers, international tours, world-premiere recordings, and educational and participatory initiatives designed to reach new audiences.
In 2024, the Diaphonique fund supported 8 commissions, 6 residencies, 4 educational projects, and collaborations and premieres by 18 English, French, and Irish composers.
Run by the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, Diaphonique is supported by the Institut Français (Paris), the Centre National de la Musique, the British Council, Culture Ireland, Sacem, and the Salabert Foundation.
