The French Institute and the Irish Cultural Centre invite you to explore two monuments of literature, James Joyce’s Ulysses and Marcel Proust’s Remembrance of Things Past in a new reading group.

Led by Jack Chellman, an expert on Finnegans Wake by James Joyce, this book club is the occasion to discover these masterpieces as their authors intended: as wonderful and strange. Silly and unpredictable. And most important, all for us.

Each week, participants will read a section of Ulysses and of Remembrance of Things Past in advance, preferably using the following editions: Remembrance of Things Past (Paperback, Penguin Classics Edition), and Ulysses: Annotated Students’ Edition (Paperback, Penguin Modern Classics Edition).
