Choix Goncourt UK
Fri 28 MarchOn 28 March, 30 students from 15 British universities will award their own Goncourt Prize among the shortlisted authors of the prestigious Académie Goncourt:
- Houris by Kamel Daoud (Gallimard)
- Jacaranda by Gaël Faye (Grasset)
- Archipels by Hélène Gaudy (L’Olivier)
- Madelaine avant l’aube by Sandrine Collette (JC Lattès)
Stay tuned for the winner’s announcement on 28 March with Olivette Otele, president of the jury, Catriona Seth, master of ceremonies, and Camille Laurens, member of the Académie Goncourt, who will present her last novel, Ta Promesse (Gallimard, 2025), on this occasion.
The project is a collaboration between the Higher Education, Research and Innovation Department at the French Embassy, the Maison Française d’Oxford, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni and the French bookshop La Page with the support of the Académie Goncourt.
