A honorary member and laureate of Diaphonique, the fund for contemporary music run by the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, composer Betsy Jolas presents her new work Ces belles années…, co-commissioned by London Symphony Orchestra, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and Cleveland Orchestra. After its premiere at the Barbican on 14 and 15 June 2023, this serene work opens the symphonic evening at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence on Bastille Day (14 July 2023).
