The Institut français du Royaume-Uni promotes the best of French culture and language and encourages cross-cultural exchanges from both sides of the Channel.
French author Annie Ernaux, awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature, was at the Institut français in 2019 with translator Alison Strayer on the occasion of the announcement of the shortlisting of her novel The Years for the Man Booker Prize.
